The Pastoral Relations Committee shall function as stewards of an open and healthy relationship between the pastor(s) and congregation. As an advisory group the committee shall share ideas, dreams, hopes, expectations, and concerns of the congregation with the pastor(s). As support for the pastor(s), the committee shall interpret the roles, functions, and needs of the pastor to the congregation. The pastoral work of Shalom shall be reviewed at least annually and the results shared appropriately. The Pastoral Relations Committee shall recommend adjustments each year to the pastor(s) salary and benefits.
The Nominating Committee shall provide a slate of candidates willing to fill positions for Church Officer, Church Council member, non-council members to the Nominating Committee, non-council members of the Pastoral Relations Committee, delegates to the Pacific Northwest Conference of the United Church of Christ and for any other positions as defined by the Bylaws.
The Worship Committee shall work with the Pastor in planning and executing the total worship experience of the church. This should include regular and special worship services, music program and church sacraments. The Committee shall encourage the spiritual growth and enrichment of church members through their participation in public, family and private devotional experiences.
