Shalom Indoor Yard Sale

Thank all of you who worked so hard to make this yard sale a great success.

We raised $1,681. YEA!!!! Let’s look at what you accomplished:

The week was filled with moving parts of the narthex and fellowship hall to other places; setting up tables and storing chairs; dropping off items to sell; pricing them, sorting them (oohing and awing at things we didn’t need, or even thought we wanted), selling things we couldn’t believe anyone would possibly buy; bagging items; working as cashiers; interfacing with customers; moving practically everything some place to get ready for church service, semi-annual meeting, potluck, and a scheduled meeting, Sunday at 2:00 p.m.

Then on Monday, we boxed almost everything up (An exception is the Christmas Village, which is still for sale in case anyone is interested). All the items were sorted to be donated to the Mosque to help refugees or to Goodwill. Goodwill items were moved to the parking lot side of the church, figuring that just because a storm was predicted, it wouldn’t happen.

Paul and Rachel Reeder came to the church later, and with some help from the sanctuary workers moved everything to the main entrance, where it was protected from the rain, wind, and lightening.

Again, thank all of you. Lora Rathbone was a great co-chair, a special thanks to her.
